Tour de Campeones 2025 conquers Puerto Plata in its second stop

Puerto Plata,- Puerto Plata became the epicenter of elite golf by hosting the second stop of the 2025 Champions Tour at the emblematic Playa Dorada Golf Course.

The sporting event, organized by Tournament Solutions, brought together more than 100 entrepreneurs and high-level golfers in a day marked by competition, exclusivity, and networking.

Alejandro Jovine Tarazona, CEO of Tournament Solutions, highlighted the success of the tournament: “The second stop of the Champions Tour in Puerto Plata has exceeded our expectations.


Seeing over 100 elite golfers, many of them business leaders, compete with such passion on such an iconic course is a testament to the growth of golf in our country. We are committed to continuing to raise the standard of this circuit.”

The Playa Dorada Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., offered an unparalleled technical challenge, with undulating fairways and ocean views that captivated the competitors.

"The exceptional field conditions and meticulous organization solidify this stop as an unforgettable experience," added Jovine Tarazona.

The awards ceremony highlighted the best players in three categories: A: first net place: Manuel Durán and Maireni Bournigal; second net place: Luis Daniel González and George Morales; and third net place: Diego Laiz and Jeffrey Acosta.

Category B: First net place: Mario Román and Jorge Fernández; Second net place: George O’Reilly and Alan Díaz; and Third net place: Radhames Rosado and Alejandro Rodríguez

Category C: first net place: Oliver Nazario and Rafael Fernández; second net place: Pablo Daniel Feliz and José Alberto Adam; and third net place: Dominic Taveras and Edgar de la Cruz.

In addition, the special prizes were awarded: Closest to the Pin Hole 17: Mario Hurtado; Most Accurate Drive Hole 8: Mario Román; Longest Drive Hole 1: Jeffrey Acosta; and Gastronomy and Camaraderie: Paella On The Green.

The closing of the day was marked by the Cooking Show “Paella On The Green”, a unique culinary experience with the live preparation of a paella, fostering camaraderie among the participants in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

The Tour of Champions was sponsored mainly by Mastercard Banreservas, along with renowned brands such as Red ATM Triinet, Equifax, Seguros Reservas, Ron Barceló, Evian, Tequila Don Julio, Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort, Genesa, Cedimat, Adozona, Gallo beer, Johnnie Walker, Club Car and Press Media Center; who added a touch of sophistication to the event.

Following the success in Puerto Plata, the Champions Tour is preparing for its next stop on Saturday, July 12th at La Cana Golf Course, Punta Cana. With the promise of maintaining the level of excellence and enthusiasm, the circuit continues to position itself as a benchmark for elite golf in the region.
