Thousands of young Dominicans receive visa-stamped passports for ACE International's Summer Work and Travel program

Santo Domingo. – With an event filled with emotion, guidance, and celebration, the cultural exchange agency ACE International held its pre-departure talk and the official delivery of visa-stamped passports to more than 3,500 Dominican students who will travel this summer to the United States as part of the Summer Work and Travel 2025 program.

This event, held at the Santo Domingo and Santiago branches, marked a milestone for the organization by merging for the first time two key moments of the process: the orientation talk and the delivery of passports visa-stamped by the US consulate in the country, a gesture that strengthened the emotional connection between the participants and their upcoming international experience.

During the day, the young people received comprehensive guidance on essential topics for their journey: rights and duties in the U.S., advice for their arrival, accommodation and transportation, money management, communication with sponsors and employers, as well as immigration and legal recommendations.

Todo esto, en un ambiente de entusiasmo, dinámicas, premios promocionales, y hasta presentaciones artísticas en vivo.

These meetings are key to providing security, clarity, and confidence to students. They allow them to clarify doubts, connect with each other, and feel supported by our team and international sponsors,” expressed the founders of ACE, Ramón Tavárez and Rafael Martínez, who were present along with the entire operational team.

International sponsors are the US agencies that grant work permits through the Department of State.

In both events, Santo Domingo and Santiago, several sponsoring agencies were present, including Global Educational Concepts, Geovisions and Alliance Abroad Group, supporting the activity and reinforcing ACE's commitment to the personal and professional growth of Dominican youth.

We want this experience to transform your worldview, provide you with independence, mastery of another language, and open doors for your academic and professional future,” the directors added.

This year, the number of participants remains similar to that of the previous year, consolidating ACE International as the largest agency worldwide in cultural exchange programs.

Upon concluding the activity, the students were ready to embark on the journey towards what will be one of the most significant experiences of their lives. As the organization pointed out in its final message: “Now we are Dominican ambassadors abroad. Doing the right thing, putting God first, and proudly carrying our flag should be our philosophy of life”.

The young people will be working for about 3 months in several states, in companies such as Hyatt Regency, Ocean Edge, Wilderness Resorts, Food Lion, Hilton, Hampton Inn, Cole Facilities, Gaylord’s, Sheraton, among others.
