First sports Olympics of Los Trinitarios announced

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Los Trinitarios urbanization, the first community sports Olympics will be held on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20, with the aim of fostering neighborhood integration and promoting sports in the area. The event was announced by the Sports Directorate of Santo Domingo Este, headed by Andrés Liberato, along with the Association of Athletes of Los Trinitarios, represented by Pablo Román, who make up the organizing committee. The activity will have as its central figure the mayor Dio Astacio, in his role of support for local sports. The presidency of the organizing committee is in charge of Eliezer Nolasco, current governor of the Faro a Colón, who expressed his gratitude for the distinction and highlighted the importance of highlighting sport as an element of unity and development in the municipality.

The Olympics will include competitions in multiple disciplines, such as basketball, volleyball, baseball, dominoes, chess, spinning, boxing, wrestling, and a grand marathon that will run through the entire urbanization. Pablo Román assured that this first edition seeks to become an annual tradition, and valued the support of the Mayor's Office in the figure of Dio Astacio, whom he thanked for his efforts in strengthening the infrastructure and sports activities of the city. For his part, José de la Cruz, director of Community Development of the City Hall, highlighted that under the current municipal administration, more than 100 sports facilities have been renovated, reaffirming the local government's commitment to community development through sports.
