El Canario celebrates five decades of career with the album “Big Swing”

Miami.- Dominican singer José Alberto El Canario celebrates five decades of artistic career with the album “Big Swing”, a top-level selection in which he demonstrates versatility, roots, and authentic communication with the dancer.

“Son cincuenta años en la música, y espero que sean muchos más. Quiero decirles que aquí hay Canario para rato”, afirmó el artista.

The salsa singer, one of the essential voices of Latin music, pays tribute to the great orchestras of the 50s with works such as "No quiero piedras en mi camino" (I don't want stones in my path), by Enrique Bonne; "Tiemblas" (You tremble), by Tite Curet; "Negro bonito" (Beautiful black man), by Silvestre Méndez; "Niña y señora" (Girl and lady), by Tito Puente, or "Negro ñamboro" (Ñamboro black man), by Mariano Mercerón, among others.

"Big Swing", produced by the Los Canarios label and distributed by La Oreja Media Group, is now available on all digital platforms. José Alberto El Canario is the artist with the most Latin Grammy awards for Best Traditional Tropical Album (three). The most recent, last November, with the bolero album “Rodando por el mundo”.
