Hot temperatures are expected
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), reports that today Saturday, due to the humidity associated with a tropical wave with its greatest rainfall activity over the waters of the Caribbean Sea and the incidence of a trough, we will observe mainly in the afternoon, cloudy fields generating showers and moderate downpours at times, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and possible wind gusts over different municipalities and communities.
These conditions will occur in the provinces of San Cristóbal, Santo Domingo, La Altagracia, Puerto Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Monte Cristi, Dajabón. Tomorrow Sunday, the tropical wave will have moved towards the south of Cuba. However, the incidence of the trough will continue to be present in our forecast area. Consequently, we foresee occasional rainfall of different intensities and frequencies, mainly over some municipalities and communities of El Seibo, Hato Mayor, La Altagracia, Santo Domingo, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, San Juan, Azua, Elías Piña, among others.Temperatures
Temperatures: the minimum will be between 21 °C and 23 °C, and the maximum between 33 °C and 35 °C.Temperatures will remain quite hot and the thermal sensation high due to the time of year (summer) and the influence of the dust particles mentioned above.

Consequently, the indomet recommends drinking enough water, not exposing yourself to the sun's rays without proper protection, wearing light-colored clothing, and keeping children and the elderly in mind, as they are more susceptible to high temperatures.
