SANTO DOMINGO. – Today's weather forecast for June 26, 2025 in Dominican Republic indicates mostly sunny and hot conditions in a large part of the national territory, due to the influence of an anticyclonic system and an air mass with low humidity accompanied by Saharan dust particles, according to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet). This atmospheric pattern will generate a grayish and opaque sky, with little chance of significant rain. However, daytime heating and orographic effects could cause isolated showers with possible thunderstorms in mountainous areas near the Central Mountain Range during the afternoon. Regarding cyclonic activity, the formation of tropical cyclones is not expected in the next seven days, which maintains the general stability of the Caribbean climate.

Maritime Conditions

Indomet recommends caution to operators of small and fragile vessels. On the Caribbean coast and on the Atlantic coast from Cabo Engaño (La Altagracia) to Cabo Cabrón (Samaná), it is suggested to remain in port due to conditions of abnormal waves. In the rest of the Atlantic coast, it is advised to navigate with care, avoiding going out to sea.
