Santo Domingo.- With pain and desperation, the mother of Nelffisis Calwany Sánchez Brea, wife of former Major League player Tony Blanco, mourns the death of her daughter, in the mass held in honor of the victims of the tragedy at the Jet Set nightclub, where she and her daughter and son-in-law, parents of a four-month-old infant, died.
Heartbroken, Nelffisis's mother recounted what happened the night the nightclub collapsed. Her daughter was celebrating her birthday at the time of the tragedy, revealing that minutes before, she had taken her grandson to her and promised to pick him up the next morning.

Amid tears and words of distress, this mother dedicated words to a photograph of her deceased daughter and her son-in-law who is in the ground zero area.
This Thursday, May 8th, marks one month since the most shocking tragedy in the recent history of the Dominican Republic, the collapse of the emblematic nightclub Jet Set, which left a toll of 233 people dead and more than 180 injured. An event that still shakes the collective memory of the country.
