Fedom announces list of those called to the U12 National pre-selection

Santo Domingo, D. N. - After successfully concluding the 6th National U12 Championship “Robinson Canó Cup” with hard work, the Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) informs that they are preparing to begin practices for the formation of the team that will represent the country next July in the 2nd Caribbean Series Kids and in the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025.

The call for practice for this Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th will be held at the IPL Academy located in El Toro in Santo Domingo Este, which is scheduled to start at 9:00 in the morning.

“There are 62 children who are being called to live this great experience that is the pre-selection, where they, with the talent already demonstrated, will seek a spot in the Dominican ninth that will represent us with gallantry first in the Caribbean Series Kids together with Lidom and then in the U12 World Cup of the WBSC,” said Juan Núñez, president of Fedom.

The Caribbean Series Kids will be played from July 5 to 13 in La Guaira, Venezuela and the U12 World Cup from July 25 to August 3 will be in Chinese Taipei.

“In the past National U12 championship, where the Santo Domingo Province was the champion, we saw a display of talent in this category, and from what was shown there, I know that the coaching staff headed by Erick Then for Fedom and Valentín Contreras for Lidom will not have it easy to select the Dominican team,” expressed Núñez Nepomuceno.

The Dominican Republic for the U-12 World Cup organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), shares Group B with the Czech Republic, Korea, Panama, South Africa, and the United States.
