It was a performance that confirmed his status as the home run leader in Major League Baseball this season. Randy Arozarena, Cuban-Mexican outfielder, also joined the home run festival with a solo home run in the fourth inning, while starting pitcher Bryan Woo (8-4) shone from the mound with six scoreless innings. For the Pirates, the Dominican Oneil Cruz went 0-for-3.
Meanwhile, for the Mariners, Julio Rodríguez went 0-4 with a run scored; Randy Arozarena, 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI; and the Colombian Donovan Solano, 1-3 with a run scored.
