Aaron Judge's 469-foot homer and five RBIs from Wells seal Yankees' 10-2 victory over Royals

KANSAS CITY, Missouri.— Austin Wells drove in five runs, including a three-run homer, and Aaron Judge hit one of the longest hits of the season in the New York Yankees' 10-2 thrashing of the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday.

Judge lit up the scoreboard in the first inning with a two-run homer that traveled 469 feet, the third longest so far this season in the Major Leagues. The hit, with an exit velocity of 117.9 mph, landed on the roof of the Royals Hall of Fame, stunning the home crowd. Wells, for his part, equaled his personal record for RBIs in a game. His home run came in the fourth inning with a full count against Noah Cameron (2-2). Later, in the sixth inning, he added two more runs with a double after an intense ten-pitch battle against Taylor Clarke. Starting pitcher Max Fried (9-1) shined with seven solid innings of work, allowing only two runs and earning his ninth win of the year, after suffering his first loss in his previous outing.
