Los Angeles.- The new adventures of 'Lilo & Stitch', the well-known animated production from Disney, swept the box office this weekend in its premiere, with 183 million dollars collected in the U.S. and 341 million worldwide, while the latest installment of 'Mission: Impossible' ('Misión imposible') entered strongly with 77 million dollars.
It was the best premiere of the entire saga starring Tom Cruise. 'The Final Reckoning', the argument of the latest sequel, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, grossed 204 million dollars worldwide, according to the specialized website Box Office Mojo.
The supernatural horror film 'Final Destination: Bloodlines', the sixth installment in the franchise of the same name, was the one affected by these two strong releases and occupies third place this week with a gross of $94.6 million, $187.1 million worldwide.

Disney and Marvel's comic book film 'Thunderbolts' remains in the top five, grossing $9.2 million at the US box office over the weekend, for $353 million worldwide after four weeks in theaters.
The vampires from 'Sinners' close the top 5 with $8.8 million in revenue. The Warner Bros. film has accumulated 339 million since its premiere on April 18, with 259 million in the United States alone.
One of the big box office hits so far this year, 'A Minecraft Movie', based on the video game of the same name, is now in eighth position, nearing one million dollars in revenue worldwide since its release in early April.
