Bad Bunny returns to the cinema in August with the premiere of the film 'Caught Stealing’

Los Angeles.- 'Caught Stealing', a new film in which the Puerto Rican urban artist and actor Bad Bunny participates, will be released on August 29 in US cinemas, according to the trailer of the project this Wednesday.

In the film, the performer of hits like 'Yo Perreo Sola', 'Después de la Playa' or 'Baile Inolvidable', among many others, plays Colorado, in what is his new cinematic work while preparing for his 30-show residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, in San Juan.

According to several websites, Colorado is a member of the Puerto Rican mafia in the film who is dedicated to doing illicit business in New York City, and joins one of the groups of thugs that haunts the character of former baseball player Hank Thompson, played by Austin Butler.

Meanwhile, the specialized portal IMDB explains that 'Caught Stealing' tells the story of Thompson who "finds himself embroiled in a dangerous fight for survival in the midst of the criminal underworld of 90's New York City, forced to navigate a treacherous underworld he never imagined".

Other well-known actors appearing in the film, directed by American Darren Aronofsky, are Matt Smith, Regina King, Vincent D'Onofrio, Action Bronson, Liev Schreiber, and Griffin Dunne.
Aronofsky is also the director of 'The Whale' (2022), which won two Academy Awards.

Since his debut on the big screen through the series 'Narcos: Mexico', Bad Bunny has ventured into the world of cinema and acting with his participation in films and series surrounded by great and renowned actors.

He also participated in 'Fast & Furious 9' (2021), 'Bullet Train' (2022), along with Brad Pitt; 'Cassandro' (2023) with Mexican director Gael García Bernal, and 'Happy Gilmore 2' (2024), directed by Adam Sandler.
