United States.- The President of the United States, Donald Trump is considering selling or giving away his Tesla, following differences with the magnate Elon Musk, reports the newspaper The Wall Street Journal citing a senior White House official as its source.

The shares of Musk's electric vehicle maker fell 14% on Thursday, losing approximately $152.4 billion in market value, the largest single-day drop recorded. They rose about 4% at the start of Friday's session.

The president stated that Musk, who resigned from his position in the Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE) last week, suffered from "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and opposed the mega-bill due to the elimination of tax credits for electric vehicles. For his part, Musk says he is disappointed by the "huge public spending" that the tax law being processed by Republicans in Congress with the support of the President of the United States will bring.

The dispute between Trump and Musk erupted on Thursday and within the statements on social media, Elon has said that Trump's name was in the files of the financial magnate convicted of attempting to solicit prostitution from minors, Jeffrey Epstein, which is why, he said, they have not yet been published.

It is recalled that in March, Donald Trump bought a new Tesla after an exhibition at the White House, whose retail price is approximately 80,000 dollars. At that time he said he would leave it at the White House so that his staff could drive it and also stated that he hoped his purchase would boost Musk's company, which is facing difficulties with falling sales and falling stock prices.
