Madrid.- Rafelito Domínguez Soto formalized his candidacy for the presidency of the Fuerza del Pueblo Party (FP) in Europe, backed by a solid academic and political career that positions him as a viable option to lead the organization on the European continent.
"I address you with the deepest sense of commitment and responsibility to formally announce my candidacy," expressed Domínguez Soto in a letter addressed to the party's militants.

«I am sure that together, with unity, we can lead the Fuerza del Pueblo to achieve electoral triumph», stated the candidate, who highlighted the leadership of Dr. Leonel Fernández as a benchmark of progress for the Dominican Republic. It is recalled that Domínguez Soto was a candidate for Overseas Deputy for Europe in 2024 for the Fuerza del Pueblo party.Outstanding university education and student leadership
The applicant graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree "cum laude" from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), where he developed an outstanding participation in the student movement that marked the beginning of his political career. During his time at UASD, he was elected a member of the university council and the governing council of the Faculty of Juridical and Political Sciences, as well as being part of the executive board of the Dominican Student Federation (FED). He was also Secretary General of the Dominican Student Vanguard (VED) in the Faculty of Law and presided over the Association of University Students of Las Yayas, his hometown in Azua.Career in the Party
His political experience extended to the party sphere, where he held important positions in the PLD, including the presidency of grassroots committees in his town and later in Santo Domingo and Madrid, as well as being a political delegate to the Central Electoral Board in the capital of Spain. He currently serves as president of the Fuerza del Pueblo in Madrid, a position he maintains until the internal electoral process concludes, as well as being national vice-secretary of the party's Organization Secretariat.His candidacy arises after it was learned that Marcos Cross, current president of the party in the region, decided not to seek to continue leading the political organization on the old continent.
