Jerusalem, June 13 (EFE).- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Iranian people this Friday that this is their opportunity to "rise up", and that Israeli attacks against Tehran's nuclear capabilities and military leadership "pave the way to achieve freedom".
"The regime doesn't know what has happened to it or what will happen to it. It has never been so weak. This is your opportunity to rise up and make your voice heard," Netanyahu said in a video message shared by his office.
His words come after Iran launched dozens of missiles against Israel in retaliation for Israeli attacks against the nuclear and military capabilities and the military leadership of Tehran since the early hours.
Netanyahu, as he has done on previous occasions, emphasized that his fight is not against the Iranian people, but against the "murderous regime" of Tehran.
Israeli Army spokesman Effie Defrin said Friday night that the military operation against Iran "is in full swing" and that Israel will continue to attack according to "a well-organized plan."
In a virtual statement in Hebrew and English, Defrin recalled that this Friday Israel has attacked several Iranian nuclear facilities and hopes that they have "suffered considerable damage".
Netanyahu, for his part, assured that "in the last 24 hours" Israel has eliminated "senior military commanders, high-ranking nuclear scientists, the most important enrichment facility of the Islamic regime and a large part of its ballistic missile arsenal." "There's more on the way," he added.
