Jennifer Lynn Lopez artistically known as Jennifer Lopez or J.Lo, is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, fashion designer and businesswoman, who was born in New York on July 24, 1969.
She was the second daughter of Puerto Ricans David Lopez and Guadalupe Rodríguez; she has a younger sister named Lynda and an older sister named Leslie.Her father worked nights as a security guard and her mother was a kindergarten teacher. When Jennifer was born, the family lived in a small apartment, however, a few years later they were able to save up to move to a two-story house. At the age of five, Jennifer began to sing and dance. At the age of seven, she toured all of New York with her school. Her parents presented their three daughters in numerous performances, in which Jennifer danced and sang.

Jennifer spent most of her time in Catholic schools, ending at Preston High School.
