Madrid (EFE).- The Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and 2030 Agenda is going to open an investigation to determine if irregularities have been committed in the online ticket sales for the concerts of Bad Bunny scheduled in Barcelona and Madrid in 2026.
According to the department headed by Pablo Bustinduy, Consumer Affairs will investigate a large ticket management company for alleged irregularities in the online ticket sales process for the concerts in Spain of "a well-known international artist," which it has not specified.
However, Consumo has admitted that the investigation will be initiated after receiving complaints from consumer associations, which warn of the charging of illicit surcharges during the online purchase process, and which refer to concepts applied "without due transparency, sufficient prior information or adequate justification".
The OCU Denounces Ticketmaster for 'Irregular' Charges on Bad Bunny Tickets
Three days ago, the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) reported Ticketmaster to the Subdirectorate General of Inspection and Sanctioning Procedure of the Ministry for the 'irregular and abusive' charging of tickets for these concerts of the twelve concerts of the Puerto Rican singer scheduled in Madrid and Barcelona in May and June 2026.
This complaint from the OCU adds to another from the organization in 2024 for passing on to the user, and not the seller, the management fees in the final price; fees that are usually hidden, according to the complaint, until almost the moment of payment.

Therefore, Consumo had already opened an information file to several companies dedicated to the sale of tickets.
Now the Ministry incorporates this investigation into that file in order to find out if the additional charges imposed in the distance contracting process of tickets comply with legal requirements, it states in its statement.
