Santo Domingo.– Following the scandal generated in recent days and despite rumors about a supposed change of owner in the franchise Miss Dominican Republic Universe, the queen preparer and current director of the pageant, Magali Febles, shared through a statement published on her social media that nothing has changed and that she remains at the head of the organization.
This was announced by Febles on Wednesday afternoon, by publishing on her official Instagram account a statement sent by the Miss Universe Organization and signed by Mario Búcaro, Vice President of International Relations, in which she is confirmed as the national director of Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2025.

“The Miss Universe Organization is pleased to announce that Ms. Magali Febles has been officially designated as the holder of the Miss Universe franchise for the Dominican Republic 2025,” states the document in its first lines.
In the missive, the organization highlights the work of Febles, who has been at the helm of the franchise for 21 years, highlighting her dedication, her contribution to the empowerment of women, and her commitment to elevating the presence of the Dominican Republic on the international stage of Miss Universe.
Likewise, the statement indicates that the continuity of Magali Febles as national director reflects the organization's confidence in her vision, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, thus denying the versions that alleged her dismissal.
The Miss Universe Organization has made it clear that the sole holder of said franchise in the Dominican Republic is Mrs. Magali Febles, warning that any other person speaking on its behalf does so fraudulently and should be ignored.
Origin of the controversy
It is recalled that in recent days, the entertainment commentator Mey Feliz, known as “Fogón”, stated on the radio program Fogaraté Radio that the Miss Universe Organization would have offered the franchise to the communicator Karen Yapoort, allegedly due to lack of resources to maintain it.
Following these statements, Magali Febles announced that she will take legal action against "Fogón" for alleged public defamation, as well as against Mr. Luinny Corporán, owner of the radio space, whom she held responsible for allowing the dissemination of said comments on his platform.
