Santo Domingo.- More than 14 years after his death, the voice of Dominican rapper Cirujano Nocturno resurfaces in the soundtrack of the documentary series Air Cocaine available on Netflix.
The included track is their famous cut "A Dead Man in Your Water Tank," a symbol of the irreverence and authenticity of Dominican hip-hop from the 2000s. The lyrical power and raw atmosphere of "Un Muerto en Tu Tinaco" fits with the tension and narrative rhythm of the documentary.Series Context
The documentary series Air Cocaine: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft., available on Netflix, revives one of the most notorious drug trafficking scandals of the last decade: the case of the French pilots arrested in Punta Cana in 2013 with 700 kilos of cocaine on board a private jet. Through testimonies, dramatizations, and archival material, the production exposes the details of the operation, questions the official version, and raises doubts about who was really behind the crime. With a tense and cinematographic rhythm, the series keeps the viewer on the edge, while exploring the connection between the Caribbean and international drug trafficking.
