The visit seeks to strengthen trade ties between both countries and explore concrete business and investment opportunities in the Dominican agro-food sector.

The delegation will be comprised of Belgian companies specializing in the import and distribution of fresh and processed products, chocolate, logistics, real estate developers, and technology applied to the agro-industrial chain.One of the most prominent figures in the mission is Mr. Laurent Nys, general director of the Marché Matinal de Bruxelles (MABRU), the most important wholesale market for fresh food in Belgium and one of the most recognized in Europe.
During their visit, the representatives of the Belgian delegation will exhaust an agenda of meetings with Dominican authorities, representatives of the private sector, with the aim of identifying Dominican products with export potential to the European market, strengthening logistical ties, and opening channels of collaboration between public and private institutions of both countries.
The delegation will be accompanied by the Dominican Ambassador to Belgium, Joan M. Cedano, who leads this diplomatic-commercial effort as part of her commitment to the promotion of exports, the attraction of investments, and the strengthening of bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
In addition to actively participating in the Agroalimentaria 2025 fair, Belgian companies will hold bilateral meetings with Dominican companies interested in internationalizing their offerings, as well as visits to production centers, among others.This trade mission represents a strategic platform to consolidate the presence of Dominican products in the European market, while fostering alliances aimed at innovation, sustainability, and the diversification of the Dominican agro-industrial offer.
