According to the National Director of Salaries, Ángel Mieses, the hotel sector will receive a total increase of 30%, applied in two phases: 15% starting June 1, 2025, and another 15% on June 1, 2026.
In the case of bar and restaurant workers, the increase will be 25%, also divided into two stages: 13% from June 2025, and an additional 12% in June 2026.
This agreement was reached in a working session of the tripartite body made up of the government, representatives of the employer sector, and workers' unions. The Minister of Labor, Eddy Olivares, described the decision as "a historic agreement and of great importance for the sector."
The measure will impact more than 250,000 workers who work in these key areas of the national economy, especially in tourist areas and urban centers where bars and restaurants are concentrated.
