A patrol of the Dominican Republic Army intercepted the Toyota brand jeep, Highlander model, black color, license plate G672370, with (10) Haitian nationals with irregular migratory status, including five (05) men and (05) women.
The driver of the vehicle fled when the military approached, with his companion being apprehended, identified as Bernarda de los Santos Mejía, of Dominican nationality, and who, according to reports, was in charge of renting the aforementioned jeep.

The detainee reported that they were heading to Santiago province with the group of undocumented individuals, who were taken under military custody to the Las Matas de Santa Cruz Detachment, for the corresponding purposes.Investigations indicate that the detainee, who will be sent before the Public Prosecutor's Office, is part of a network dedicated to the trafficking of undocumented persons, to which also belong those nicknamed El Pato, Adinson, Cheiron, Deibi or Pipito.
