Santo Domingo.– The weather conditions for this Monday will be marked by the incidence of a trough that manifests itself at various levels of the troposphere, as well as by the increase in humidity associated with the approach of a tropical wave located east of Puerto Rico, reported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
These phenomena, combined with local effects, will be generating scattered showers towards the Atlantic coastal area during the morning hours.
However, it will be in the afternoon and until the early hours of the night when more noticeable cloud increases will be recorded, with locally moderate showers, thunderstorms and wind gusts in provinces such as María Trinidad Sánchez, La Altagracia, Samaná, El Seibo, Gran Santo Domingo, Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, San Cristóbal, La Vega, San José de Ocoa, Santiago, San Juan and Elías Piña.
For Tuesday, humidity is expected to remain over the national territory due to the same trough, which will favor the occurrence of moderate to heavy showers with thunderstorms and wind gusts, especially in provinces of the east, southeast, southwest and the Central mountain range.
Forecast by sectors of Greater Santo Domingo:
- Distrito Nacional: Slight cloud cover increases with isolated showers in the afternoon.
- Santo Domingo North, East and West: Similar conditions, with the possibility of showers in the afternoon.
Temperatures:
Las mínimas oscilarán entre los 21 °C y 23 °C, mientras que las máximas se ubicarán entre los 32 °C y 34 °C.
