Santo Domingo.- As part of the official agenda, the delegations of Dominican Republic and Kenya held a moving moment of silence in honor of the Kenyan soldiers who fell in Haiti, during an event at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The gesture symbolizes the respect and solidarity of the Dominican people towards the peace efforts and international cooperation led by Kenya in the region.
On the esplanade of the ministry in front of a floral arrangement, Dominican Chancellor Roberto Álvarez and the Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kenya, Musalia Mudavadi, led this moment prior to the meeting they have scheduled.

It is recalled that the multinational security support mission in Haiti, which is headed by Kenya, has deployed soldiers to combat the criminality and violence that the country is experiencing under the control of gangs.
In that vein, Kenya and the Dominican Republic plan to sign an agreement for the Caribbean country to support Kenyan police officers who are part of the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission in Haiti.
