OCN-INTERPOL captures Dominican who had been a fugitive for 11 years in Punta Cana

Punta Cana.- The National Police, through the National Central Bureau (NCB) INTERPOL Santo Domingo, attached to the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM), and in coordination with the General Directorate of Migration, captured a Dominican citizen wanted since 2014 by the judicial authorities of La Romana province, for the crime of rape of a minor.

This is Jonathan Michell Castillo Rijo, 32 years old, against whom a Red notice for international search and capture No. A-3165/4-2015 was in effect, at the request of INTERPOL Santo Domingo, at the request of the Public Ministry of La Romana.

The arrest took place at the Punta Cana International Airport, in compliance with judicial resolution 973-2025 EMES-019448, issued on October 24, 2014. Authorities report that Castillo Rijo remained a fugitive for approximately eleven years, until his recent location and immigration interdiction. The detainee is in custody to be presented before the Public Prosecutor's Office, in order to answer for the acts he is accused of before the competent judicial body.
