Editorial.- The mother of the 16-year-old Dominican teenager Jeremy Domínguez Zapata, requested financial assistance to cover the expenses of a kidney transplant that her son urgently needs, due to chronic kidney failure that he has suffered from for seven years.
Yuberkis Zapata, mother of the minor, explained to our media outlet that she will be the one to donate the kidney to her son, but she lamented not having the economic resources or health insurance to cover the costs of the procedure, estimated at 30,000 euros.

Zapata detailed that along with his sister, Evelin Zapata, they have managed to raise 100,000 Dominican pesos, which have been used in part of the medical process that Jeremy is undergoing, who is currently admitted to a health center in France.
The teenager was initially diagnosed in the Dominican Republic with nephrotic syndrome at the Dr. Hugo Mendoza Pediatric Hospital, after presenting with severe swelling. Since then, he has remained in treatment, with over a year receiving dialysis.
Despite the difficulties, Yuberkis, who has been in France for four months with her son, keeps alive the hope of seeing Jeremy's health restored and being able to return together to the Dominican Republic.
