More than 114 thousand students prepare for the 2025 National Tests

Santo Domingo.– The Ministry of Education (Minerd) announced that more than 114,000 students have been summoned to participate in the first call of the National Tests 2025, corresponding to the Secondary level in all its modalities, as well as to Adult Secondary Education.

Evaluations will begin on Tuesday, June 24 for Secondary level students, and on Saturday 29 for those in the Adult modality. According to the Minerd, more than 85,000 students from the Academic, Technical Professional and Art modalities will participate, and about 28,000 adults.

Also included will be those students with outstanding subjects from previous calls, previously registered on the Ministry's digital platform. The tests will be carried out in "1,038" headquarters that will receive students from "3,077" educational institutions nationwide. The logistics will be under the coordination of the regional and district directorates of the education system.

Evaluation Calendar:

  • Tuesday 24: Mathematics
  • Wednesday 25: Social Sciences
  • Thursday 26: Spanish Language
  • Friday 27: Natural Sciences

For the adult modality, the tests will be:

  • Saturday 29: Mathematics and Social Sciences
  • Sunday 30: Spanish Language and Natural Sciences
The Director of Communication of the Minerd, Yahaira Brea, indicated that the process will have strict supervision protocols in charge of district, regional and national technicians, with the aim of guaranteeing transparency and compliance with the regulations. These evaluations allow to measure the skills acquired by students and are a requirement to complete the corresponding educational level. In addition, the results serve as a basis for formulating public policies focused on improving the quality of learning.

"Minerd remains committed to results-oriented education, which strengthens equity and the continuous improvement of the system," Brea assured.
