Santo Domingo.- This Friday afternoon, businessman Mon Lluberes, partner of Antonio Espaillat, appeared at the Palace of Justice in Ciudad Nueva, accompanied by the wife of Espaillat, Montserrat Namnum Puigbó, and his daughter, Sofía Espaillat.

The visit occurs while the judicial proceedings continue regarding the case of the collapse of the Jet Set nightclub roof, a tragedy that left 236 dead and more than 180 injured, and for which Antonio Espaillat and his sister Maribel Espaillat face criminal proceedings for alleged negligence.

Although Lluberes did not offer statements to the press, his presence generates expectations, given his business relationship with the accused. The prosecution argues that those responsible for the establishment knew about the structural risks of the premises and did not act in time, which would have led to the tragedy that occurred weeks ago. It is expected that in the coming hours the Public Ministry will request coercive measures against those involved, while the arrival of figures from the business and family environment of Antonio Espaillat to the court continues.
