Santo Domingo.- Musalia Mudavadi, Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, paid a courtesy visit to the Senate of the Republic this Monday as part of the official activities of this high-ranking official in the country, which has included a joint declaration and the signing of two cooperation agreements with the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the meeting held behind closed doors in the VIP Hall of the Senate of the Republic, along with the president of this legislative body, Ricardo de los Santos, were present senators Lia Díaz, Gustavo Lara, Aracelis Villanueva and María Mercedes Ortíz. For his part, Mudavadi is accompanied by a large delegation from the government of the Republic of Kenya.

This visit to the country takes place within the framework of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMAS) in Haiti, led by this East African country since its approval by the United Nations Security Council in 2023, which has the task of finding a way out of the conflict and violence that this country, which shares a land border with the Dominican Republic, is experiencing at the hands of gangs.
