Santo Domingo.- A man was arrested while hiding a contraband of cigarettes in a compartment manufactured and adapted under a car, which was detected by members of the Dominican Republic Army at the Guanito military checkpoint, in the province of San Juan.
Guillermo Rosario Rosario was hiding 100 packs of foreign cigarettes, brand Capital, equivalent to 20,000 units, under the vehicle, the agency stated in a note.

Rosario Rosario will be sent along with the vehicle to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the aforementioned province for the corresponding legal process.
The illegal merchandise will be delivered by certification to the Specialized Body for Fuel Control (Cecoom) for the appropriate purposes.
