Santo Domingo – The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader Corona, led this Thursday at 11:36 a.m. the official act of presentation of credentials by several ambassadors appointed to the Government of the Dominican Republic, during an event held in the Ambassadors' Hall of the National Palace.
The diplomatic representatives of Haiti, Emmanuel Fritz Longchamp; Chile, Iván Andrés Favereau Urquiza; Russia, Alexey Seredin; Georgia, Zaza Gabunia; Kuwait, Adel Mubarak Farhan Al-Adgham; Mongolia, Zoljargal Seseer; and Vietnam, Le Quang Long, presented their credentials.During the event, the Head of State held brief protocol exchanges with each of the diplomats, to whom he officially welcomed to the country. The president reaffirmed the commitment of his government to the strengthening of foreign relations and the promotion of an active diplomacy, oriented towards development, peace and multilateral cooperation.

The activity, of a protocolary nature, was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez, and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country. The event is part of the institutional mechanisms with which the Dominican State formally recognizes foreign representatives, and serves as a starting point for the development of new bilateral cooperation initiatives in areas such as trade, security, education, health, and culture.
