Santo Domingo.- The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry, seized more than 1,000 grams of presumed cocaine and two firearms during a follow-up and interdiction operation in the municipality of San Francisco de Macorís, Duarte province.
In the operation, Kendy Manuel Rojas, 23 years old, was arrested, who, upon noticing the presence of the operational teams, tried to escape aboard a jeep, Toyota, Model RAV4, white in color, without achieving his objective.

The detainee was transferred to the San Francisco de Macorís Police headquarters, where, in the presence of the prosecutor, the vehicle was inspected, seizing under the right seat of the vehicle a bag containing inside two packages (1,028.1 Grams) presumably marijuana, wrapped in transparent adhesive tape.
In addition, a revolver of unreadable brand and serial number, .38 caliber with three rounds, a Glock 19 pistol, 9mm caliber, with its golden magazine and eleven cartridges, a bandolier, a balaclava, two cell phones, three thousand Dominican pesos, among other evidence, were seized.
Kendy Manuel Rojas, who was arrested on Salcedo Street, El Capacito sector, of the aforementioned municipality, will be handed over to the Public Ministry of that demarcation to be informed of coercive measures in the coming hours for violation of law 50-88, on drugs and controlled substances.
The Public Ministry and the DNCD are deepening investigations related to the case, while continuing to intensify joint and coordinated operations to combat the trafficking and sale of narcotics throughout the national territory.
