Los Alcarrizos.– Residents of the La Fe sector carried out a protest on Monday night with the burning of tires and partial closure of roads, in order to demand the repair of the streets, assuring that they have been in impassable conditions for more than a decade.
“We are completely stuck, there is no way to walk or drive. We have been demanding these streets for over 30 years,” said one of the protesters, denouncing that the neighborhood's multipurpose center has also been abandoned for more than five years.

According to the community members, despite the existence of documentation in the Ministry of Public Works and in the Ayuntamiento del Distrito Nacional, as well as a promise of investment of one million pesos from the participatory budget, the authorities have not complied. “Now that we protest is when they say they will not come to resolve anything, but we remain firm,” they added.
The demonstration was concentrated at the intersection of Napoleon and La Fe streets. Residents warned that they will not stop until the government and municipal authorities hear their claim and begin repair work.
